Daikin Park History and Overview

Daikin Park is located at 501 Crawford Street in downtown Houston, Texas, and is home to the Houston Astros. The ballpark boasts a retractable roof, which keeps fans and players cool during Houston’s notoriously humid weather.

The left field side of the park pays homage to the old Union Station by having a railway above the left field wall, with a train appropriately filled with oranges. The train moves whenever an Astros player hits a home run or after an Astros win. Daikin Park has a capacity of 42,060 for Astros games.

Daikin Park Seat Numbers

The Daikin Park seating chart with seat numbers shows that seat 1 is always closer to the lower-numbered adjacent section. For example, seat 1 in section 129 would be closest to the highest numbered seat in section 128.

Typically, the best seats are closer to the home plate. Going by that logic, if you’re on the left-field line, you’d want a seat with a lower seat number, and on the right-field line, you’d look for a higher seat number. (So remember, don’t think of seat and row numbers as the same thing.)

Houston Astros Best Seats

The Best Seats for any Houston Astros game are located along the infield in sections 112-126. The other field-level section provides a nice alternative along the first and third baselines. Finally, the Crawford Boxes are a must if you want to pay the price, since it is a view you won’t get to experience at most other ballparks.

Houston Astros Standing Room Only (SRO) Seats

Standing-room-only tickets for Houston Astros games get fans into the ballpark but do not grant them access to assigned seats. Astros SRO tickets are available for bigger games like Opening Day, playoffs, and World Series games.

Some of the best areas to stand for Astros games are behind most seated sections or along outfield railings. Bear in mind that these seats are first-come, first-served, so if you have standing-room tickets for Astros games, you’ll want to get to the ballpark early to get a good spot up front with a good view.

Houston Astros Dugout and Bullpen

The Houston Astros Dugout is in front of sections 122-127, and the visitors’ bench is in front of sections 111-116. Minute Maid Park has one of the most unique bullpens in baseball, with the visitors’ bullpen inside the left field wall and the Astros’ bullpen in right-center field.

Houston Astros Premium and Club Seats

Premium Seating for the Houston Astros is usually only available for season ticket plans, which include the Diamond Club located right behind home plate. The amenities include exclusive access to a restaurant and wait staff, but tickets are tough to find on the secondary market. The Club seating sections are on the 200 level, although they have no amenities. There are tickets in sections 233-236, including $15 vouchers for food, drink, alcohol, or merchandise. When browsing tickets in those sections, ensure the ticket listing mentions the voucher because not all tickets will come with it.

The Crawford Boxes for Houston Astros games are located in sections 100-104, are positioned 19 feet off the field, and are among the most unique seats in any baseball game. The short porch in left field makes these seats a prime place to catch a home run, making them among baseball’s most expensive outfield seats.

Houston Astros Family Center

The Houston Astros and Daikin Park offer an entertainment center for young children called the Minute Maid Squeeze Play. The center is located behind section 133, so if you are attending an Astros game with kids who need more than baseball to stay entertained, purchasing tickets in this area would be wise.

Covered Seating at Daikin Park

Looking for a shady area for a Houston Astros home game? This section is for you.

Shaded seats change depending on the time of day. You can generally find covered seating at Daikin Park on the third base side of the park, farther back in one of those sections under an overhang, and in sections 408-416 under the roof.

The roof will probably be closed for early afternoon games at Minute Maid Park, so you shouldn’t have to worry about covered seating or not being in the shade. However, if the roof is open, the best place to find shade is in the upper levels directly below the roofing structures. Therefore, look for seats in sections 408-416 on the third base side of the stadium.

ADA Seating at Daikin Park

For those who are using a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend a game at Daikin Park with somebody who is, there is some important information that you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA seating, you’ll find accessible rows at the top of most sections within the ballpark and spread throughout.

If necessary, folding chairs will be provided to guests, such as those looking to sit with a fan using a wheelchair. One trick you can use to filter tickets that are ADA accessible is to use our “Additional filters +” button on the event page, which allows you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible). ” This shows all seats that the seller has marked as accessible seating.
