The Roundabout Theatre at Studio 54 hasn’t always been the Broadway hub it is now. Perhaps more famously known for its celebrity nightclub era, Studio 54 has regained its iconography through becoming a home for Roundabout Theatre productions. Studio 54 is just shy of a hundred years old, a truly alive and evolving organism of New York City’s cultural arts scene.
Showing soon at Studio 54 is A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical. The bio-musical, starring James Monroe Iglehart (Spamalot, Aladdin) as Louis Armstrong, will take audiences through the jazz icon’s time in New Orleans and Chicago. Set to the beloved songbook of Louis Armstrong, A Wonderful World is one of the most highly anticipated shows coming to Broadway this fall.

Studio 54 Seating Options
At Studio 54, a relatively small-sized theater, the seats are divided into three sections: Orchestra, Front Mezzanine, and Rear Mezzanine. The Orchestra is the largest section, and often the priciest, while offering some of the best views in the house.
There are two elevated sections of the theater: Front and Rear Mezzanine. The Front Mezzanine, the smallest section in the house, overhangs the Orchestra beginning in Row M. The Rear Mezzanine, while allowing fans great views over the rest of the Mezzanine, is at a steep incline which can be uncomfortable for some individuals.

What are the best seats at Studio 54?
The best seats at Studio 54 are in the center Orchestra, beginning with the first row (Row A) to Row E. The stage is set back a little, allowing fans in the center front row truly the best view in the house. But you don’t need to break the bank to find a good seat at Studio 54.
Orchestra Rows F through Row M also offer incredible views of A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical. Every row in the Center Front Mezzanine offers great sight lines of the production.
A Wonderful World Lottery Information
The lottery for discounted tickets to see A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical has yet to be announced. But we think the theater will release discounted ticket information after the musical’s opening night of October 16, 2024.
Obstructed Views at Studio 54
Studio 54 is a relatively small theater, with a steeply inclined Rear Mezzanine, which means there are very few sections with obstructed views of the house. But there are certainly seats to be aware of.
In Left Rear Mezzanine, specifically Rows HH-NN, every seat is to the side. This results in obstructed sightlines into stage right (your left). Patrons in Right Rear Mezzanine will also experience obstructed views but of stage left (your right).
Fans should note: Though seats in the Rear Mezzanine, for the most part, have good sight lines, there is definitely less legroom in these sections to accommodate for the steep rake between rows. This allows for each seat to be lifted above those in front, allowing for there not to be heads in the way of the stage.
