MLB Mobile Tickets | Which MLB Teams Allow You to Scan Tickets on Your Phone?

The ticket industry is rapidly advancing and the MLB is no exception, with more teams and venues adopting mobile ticketing methods. The MLB is a part of this movement, as well; however, it’s not always clear what MLB teams allow you to scan tickets on your phone, or what teams require the fan to have the tickets scanned directly from the MLB Ballpark App. Here you will find a breakdown of every MLB team’s policy regarding mobile ticketing.

This list is constantly changing, and here at TickPick we expect to have mobile ticketing as an option for all 30 teams by the start of the 2019 season. It’s very important to know heading into the 2019 season that there are a select number of MLB teams (7 in total) that have said that mobile tickets can only be scanned directly from a fan’s smartphone via the MLB Ballpark App.

That means that you and the rest of your party will have to have your tickets scanned from within the MLB Ballpark App, and the following teams will not accept mobile screenshots that you could have simply had texted or sent to you via email as recently as last season. Those teams are:

• Chicago Cubs
• Philadelphia Phillies
• San Francisco Giants
• St. Louis Cardinals
• Texas Rangers
